IAGB India Day 2026 – Senior Scholarship Awards
IAGB is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the IAGB Senior Scholarship Awards 2026, supported by The Kapasi Family Foundation. As part of our India Day celebrations, IAGB continues its commitment to recognizing and encouraging academic excellence among high‑school seniors across New England.
This year, two scholarships of $500 each will be awarded, one to a graduating high‑school senior boy and one to a graduating high‑school senior girl, entering college in Fall 2026. Eligible applicants must be residents of New England (MA, NH, RI, CT, VT, ME).
Applicants are invited to submit a 500‑word essay on the theme: “Colors of India – Stories That Inspire.” This topic encourages students to reflect on the cultural richness, diversity, and personal inspirations that shape their connection to India.
The application deadline is July 19, 2026, and the awards will be presented during the India Day 2026 celebrations on August 15th at NARA Park, Acton, MA, between 2:30 PM and 7:30 PM.

IAGB India Day 2026 – Upcoming Women’s & Men’s Tennis Ball Cricket Tournaments
IAGB is excited to announce the first‑ever India Day Tennis Ball Cricket Tournaments, taking place on August 15th, 2026, in Acton, MA. This inaugural initiative brings together both Women’s and Men’s cricket, expanding IAGB’s sports programming and creating a vibrant, community‑focused celebration leading up to India Day.
The Women’s Tournament will highlight enthusiastic participation, teamwork, and strong community spirit as women cricketers come together for this historic first edition. The event aims to encourage greater involvement in women’s sports and build a welcoming platform for future growth within the IAGB community.
The Men’s Tournament will deliver high‑energy matches, camaraderie, and competitive excitement. Teams will compete in fast‑paced tennis‑ball cricket, bringing skill, strategy, and passion to the field as part of the India Day festivities.
Both the Women’s and Men’s tournaments will feature trophies for Champions, Runner-Up, Best Batter, and Best Bowler, ensuring recognition across all categories and celebrating outstanding performances in an inclusive and modern cricket format.
All participants will receive a free tournament T‑shirt, and the event is proudly supported by Asija Properties, whose partnership helps make this inaugural cricket celebration possible.
IAGB looks forward to bringing the community together on August 15th for a memorable day of cricket, culture, and India Day celebrations.
