IAGB Attends Ekal’s Utsav: Bhajan Clubbing for a Purpose

IAGB attended UTSAV – Bhajan Clubbing for a Purpose, hosted by the Ekal Vidyalaya Boston Chapter on June 6, 2026, at the Hilton Garden Inn in Marlborough, MA. The invitation, extended by Arushee Divyakirti and Manisha Kumar, welcomed IAGB to join this meaningful community gathering.

The event introduced an innovative “Bhajan Clubbing” format that blended soulful devotional music with modern, high‑energy rhythms. This fresh approach brought together attendees across generations in a lively and uplifting atmosphere.

The Rangrez Band delivered an engaging performance, encouraging audience participation through beautifully arranged bhajans and contemporary musical elements.

Ekal leaders, including Executive Director Manisha Jain, highlighted the organization’s mission of empowering rural and tribal communities in India through education, healthcare, women’s development, and village upliftment. UTSAV served as both a cultural celebration and a purposeful fundraiser supporting these initiatives.

IAGB Attends Sewa Boston’s UJWAL Gala 2026

IAGB was pleased to join Sewa Boston’s Annual Gala, UJWAL: Nourishing Minds, Powering Progress, held on June 13, 2026, at the Boston Marriott Newton. The invitation, extended by Neha Kaushal, Kumar Subramanian, and the Sewa Boston team, highlighted Sewa International as a long‑standing, volunteer‑driven organization serving communities locally and globally.

The gala brought together community leaders, volunteers, and supporters for an evening of purpose, live music, and celebration. The program featured acclaimed artists including Kunal Gunjal (santoor), Amit Kavthekar (tabla), and a special performance by the Samarthanam Sisters, visually impaired musicians whose inspiring journey deeply moved the audience.
This year’s gala supported two key local initiatives:

  • ASPIRE Program in Lowell Public Schools — providing after‑school STEM education to underserved middle and high school students
  • Fresh Meal Program for Community College Students — in collaboration with the World Food Movement, addressing food insecurity in local neighborhoods
    The event underscored Sewa’s commitment to education, hunger relief, disaster response, and community development.

IAGB Supports Javed Ali Live in Concert

IAGB was pleased to serve as a supporting organization for the Javed Ali Live in Concert event hosted by Tune‑N‑Chill Entertainment. The evening brought together music lovers from across New England for a vibrant and memorable performance by one of India’s most celebrated playback artists. The energy, enthusiasm, and community spirit in the auditorium made it a truly special night for all who attended.

IAGB extends its sincere thanks to Tune‑N‑Chill Entertainment, Arindam Nath, and Debashree Mandal for including IAGB as a supporting organization and for their warm acknowledgment during the event. We value the opportunity to stand alongside community‑driven cultural initiatives that bring people together and celebrate the richness of Indian music and arts. IAGB Partners with the Consulate General of India, Boston, for the International Day of Yoga 2026 Celebration

IAGB proudly partnered with the Consulate General of India, Boston to celebrate the International Day of Yoga 2026 on June 21 at One Federal Street, Boston. This year marked the first‑ever International Day of Yoga celebration hosted by the Consulate, making the collaboration especially meaningful for the community.

The program was emceed by Ms. Jharna Madan, who guided the morning with warmth and seamless coordination. The event began with welcome remarks by IAGB President Nilesh Agrawal, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Consul General Shri Raghuram S, Deputy Consul General Ms. Shruthi Purushottam, IAGB President Nilesh Agrawal, and FIA President Abhishek Singh.

Consul General Shri Raghuram S addressed the gathering, highlighting the global significance of yoga and India’s leadership in promoting holistic well‑being. A guided yoga session, led by Sudhir Parikh ji and Niru Parikh ji, engaged participants in traditional postures and breathing practices that reflected yoga’s timeless principles.

The celebration also featured cultural performances by students from:

  • GuruKool Enrichment Center, founded by Arpita Das Pathak
  • Tarana School of Kathak, founded by Moumita Banerjee

Youth performers, presented in alphabetical order, included: Aaria Madan Nagpal, Anmol Patel, Ashriya Ejenkar, Avisha Mathur, Medhanshi Bhowmick, and Surina Bhalla. All performers were recognized with certificates and appreciation from the Consulate, a thoughtful gesture celebrating young talent within the community.

Deputy Consul General Ms. Shruthi Purushottam delivered the Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to partner organizations, volunteers, and participants for making the event meaningful and memorable.

The celebration concluded with a delicious Saatvik Brunch prepared by Treasury Kitchen, Burlington, followed by community interaction and networking.

IAGB Attends Vibha Boston’s Kite Flying Fundraiser – June 21, 2026

IAGB attended Vibha Boston’s 8th Annual Kite Flying Fundraiser on June 21, 2026, at Sampas Pavilion, Lowell Heritage Park. The invitation, extended by Executive Director Sumana Hatwar, Nisha Dave, and the Vibha Boston team, welcomed IAGB to join this vibrant community gathering in support of Vibha’s mission to empower underprivileged children through education.

The annual event brought together families and community organizations from across Greater Boston for an afternoon of kite flying, cultural performances, music, food, children’s activities, and celebration. This year’s program also featured a Community Recognition segment, honoring organizations that continue to make a meaningful impact locally and globally.

IAGB appreciates the warm invitation and acknowledges Vibha Boston’s continued efforts to uplift communities through education, engagement, and service.

FIA New England’s 250th Independence Day Celebration

IAGB attended the 250th Independence Day Celebration of the United States of America, hosted by the Foundation of Indian Americans (FIA) New England Executive Team, led by Abhishek Singh, President. The event was held at The Boston Group, 21 SW Cutoff, Northborough, MA, and brought together community members to honor America’s historic milestone of 250 years of freedom, unity, democracy, and patriotism.

The celebration featured cultural performances, entertainment, community interactions, and special tributes recognizing America’s journey over two and a half centuries. Guests participated in the festivities dressed in USA flag colors — red, white, and blue, adding to the patriotic spirit of the gathering.
