Events Recap

Grateful to Attend SETU’s Human Vivekananda

I had the pleasure of attending SETU – Stage Ensemble Theater Unit’s production of Human Vivekananda, a thoughtful and moving portrayal of Swami Vivekananda’s inner journey. The play beautifully captured his bond with Sri Ramakrishna, his search for purpose, and the values that shaped his message to the world. The performances were sincere, engaging, and brought both the philosophy and humanity of Vivekananda to life on stage.

My appreciation to Subrata Das and the entire SETU team for their vision and dedication in presenting this story with such depth and authenticity. The production offered a meaningful reminder of the power of theater to inspire reflection and reconnect us with timeless values such as compassion, courage, and service.

A wonderful afternoon hosted by TeamAid welcomed our dynamic Consul General, Shri S. Raghuram, and Deputy Consul General, Ms. Shruthi Purushottam, to the New England community. Mohan Nannapaneni and his team curated a warm and memorable program, highlighted by the soulful Santoor performance by Kunal Gunjal and the energetic Tabla recital by Nitin Mitta.

It was an honor to attend on behalf of IAGB and speak about our organization’s work and ongoing community initiatives. Connecting with leaders from more than 60 community organizations was truly inspiring. Moments like these reflect the strength of our community and the collective impact we can create when we come together with purpose and unity.

IAGB Leadership was grateful for the opportunity to meet Mr. Jag Mohan, Minister of Community Affairs & Personnel at the Embassy of India in Washington, DC, Mr. Prem Bhandari, Chairman of Jaipur Foot USA, and many other leaders who continue to uplift and empower the Indian American community in New England.

My heartfelt thanks to Mohan Nannapaneni and Abhishek Singh for bringing everyone together and creating a platform that fosters collaboration, service, and shared purpose. We look forward to continuing this journey of building, empowering, and representing our community with pride.
