The celebration of the independence of the world’s largest democracy will be a grand event for family and friends.
The theme of India Day 2022 is “Bharat Parikrama – Path around India”. The program has two distinct segments – Heritage Mela, and Cultural Mela.
In the first segment – Heritage Mela from 12.30 pm to 3.30 pm, visitors can experience a variety of booths to learn, experience, and celebrate India’s rich heritage. Visitors will get an opportunity to join a 15-20 minute dance workshop of many classical and non-classical dance forms from India, or learn and practice Indian classical/Western fusion singing at the music workshop, or enjoy a Tattoos corner for kids, and Art corner (for a small fee)
In the second segment – Cultural Mela from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm, visitors can enjoy a cultural program presented by the many highly talented arts groups in the Greater Boston area. We will feature dances and songs from various regions of India, along with Classical and Bollywood Dance performances.
